Curved Glass Trends in 2026 — What Architects Are Specifying

The specification of curved glass has accelerated dramatically over the past three years, driven by parametric design software, falling fabrication costs, and a generation of architects who grew up with Zaha Hadid as a reference point.

What’s New in 2026

Compound curves going mainstream. Until recently, multi-directional curved glass was reserved for trophy projects. Today we’re quoting compound-curved facades for mid-range commercial developments in Europe and the Middle East.

Curved IGU demand. Architects increasingly want curved units to meet energy codes — not just aesthetics. Our curved insulated unit line has grown 40% year-on-year.

Shorter lead times expected. Global supply chains have stabilised. Buyers now expect 8–10 weeks for standard curved tempered, versus 14–16 weeks two years ago.

What Dayang Is Doing

We added a second large-format hot-bending furnace in Q3 2026, expanding our maximum single-piece size to 3300 × 16 000 mm and cutting our curved tempered lead time to 6–8 weeks for standard radii.
